During the month of May, I’ll be blogging here every week (sometimes more than once) on a new theme: Summer Lovin’.

summer lovin

It’s been quite warm here in Portland, but even if it’s not warming up where you are (and, uh, apologies to my Aussie/NZ friends heading into winter), the world of content playing a major component in your marketing is heating up. And I’m getting lots of questions about content, so let’s talk about them.

What’s Being Covered in this Series?

I’m going to talk about a variety of things, including but not limited to:

  • How to Hire Writers to Help You
  • How to Get an Editorial Calendar Started, and Why You Should Care
  • How to Plan Ahead for Your Content Needs – and also Be In the Moment
  • How to Get Your Customers Involved in your Content Strategy
  • How to Use Visual Content More Successfully

Holy carp, that is a lot of “how to’s”!  But maybe you have an idea?  If so, leave a comment below and I’ll try to include it in the series.

What’s in it for me?

Why should you, dear reader, want in on a bit of summer lovin’ since you’ve got your own work to attend to (and probably some sunglasses and sandal shopping to do)?  I really do believe that content is one of the most powerful and effective marketing tools you can use on the web right now.  Sure, it’s a buzzword topic, but let’s talk about the practical stuff.  How do you use content practically, without spending a ton of money or a ton of time?

Stay tuned – we’ll get the party started this week!
